Would not take a gift card. Be sure to ask before ordering. Had a debit card from Ford Motor Co. and they refused to take it.

Returned after a 2 year absence. Food was as great as remembered. Maple glazed salmon, chicken rollatini, veal Parmesan...everything was served promptly and piping hot. We will definitely return.

Very disappointing! My entree was grouper florentine. It was fishy and very Ill-prepared. I did not complain, but, when the waiter saw how much was left on my plate, he inquired about it. I told him the problem and after he conferred with his manager, I was offered a free desert. Gimme a break! My last time at this restaurant. Service was good, but, food was very slowly served.

If you don't mind waiting an hour and a half, with little to no communication from your server, this is the place for you. I recommend the veal parm, because if you like chicken parm that is what you might get instead of the veal. But no worries. They charge you for the chicken parm and do nothing else to address the lack of food or service you might expect in a restaurant where a party of 4 is at least a $100 avg check. Jay G.

Amazing food and music. I eat here every year we visit. The salmon maple peach burbon dish is fanastic and the stuffed peppers are like grandma's

Just had a great meal at Lombardo's. It wasn't very busy-Sunday night in mid-September. My wife loved her grouper florentine. I had veal parm which was very good. Several people came around to see how we were doing including a more "senior" woman who may be owner. We would come here again.

We went here by accident last night, thinking it was an Italian restaurant we had been to before. I had a 3 year old and 7 year old with me. While this restaurant is much fancier than I would normally take my kids too, they were extremely friendly and accommodating to us. Good was excellent and so was the service!

Excellent food, ambiance and service. Live light jazz was playing in dining room. Lasagna was the best I've ever had.

Love this place. Have been on each of our last few visits to the area and the food is outstanding, the service quick and helpful and an overall great experience.

As part-year locals, we have been eating here for many years. Last night, we had the same exceptional experience that we always have. When over a range of years, the amazing quality of food and service stays the same, it deserves some praise. No question: the best Italian food and the best and friendliest service at the beach.

I went here with 10 of my family members. The service was great and the food was even better. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and affordable prices. Great for large parties.

Only thing worse then the awful service was the indifferent attitude of the owner

Visited here for a work trade show with a group of people. Three of the four of us had specials, the pork osso bucco, which I was told was fantastic, and two of us had the 7oz filet with grilled shrimp and a crab cake, stacked like a tower. Both of us that had that stated that the steak and shrimp were good, but the crab cake had an unusual flavor. I could best describe it as tasting like banana bread. It had a sweet banana flavor. Steak temp was good, but the rest of the food on the plate was Luke warm at best. Not good for food safety. For the price, I would expect much higher quality attention be paid to food temp and quality. Especially on a very slow night, which it was.

The moment my family walked in the door, we were greeted by a friendly host, followed by our waiter Otis. Otis was an EXCEPTIONAL waiter!! (I'd ask for his section!) Amazing service, as well as amazing food. The whole staff was very friendly! The food portions are rather large, so go on an empty stomach!

We come to Myrtle Beach yearly but have never visited Lombardo's before. We went twice this visit because we liked it so much the first time!! The food was AMAZING, we got chicken Alfredo, Shrimp Alfredo, and Chicken Parmesan. Portions were enough to feed two and only around $17-18 per meal. Service and ambiance were very nice. Prices quite reasonable. Only one thing I would recommend, desserts were pricey and not huge. If you don't mind paying $10 for a piece of cake, go for it. :)

My wife had the shrimp scampi and it had the largest shrimp we have ever seen in a scampi. I had the fruit de mar and it was loaded with shellfish. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious. We each could eat only half and could barely finish the leftovers for supper the next day. The server, Eric, was very friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Really pricey. Not child friendly. Charged $20 for 5 fried shrimp. Grouper wasn't fresh. Cooking is very heavy handed with wine. Staff was very uppity. Mussel app was very tasty. Would not return for a second time.

I did not like the place when I first went there a year ago. However someone gave me a gift certificate, so I thought I would try it again with my wife, daughter and three grandchildren. The bread is fantastic, the caprese salad was very good and the dinner salads were good as well. That is where it ended. Our main course was delayed due to a large party that came before us. Not a big deal. But you would think the food would come out properly cooked. I ordered the chicken piccata, which was very bland and had a more onion flavor to it than piccata (I never had oni9n flavored chicken piccata until I had it here). My wife ordered chicken rolatini, which came out very dry - it must have been the first dish made and placed under a heat lamp. My grandson ordered the chicken fingers and fries - the chicken was also dried out and the breading was flaking off the chicken. The fries were good. My granddaughter had the alfredo, which was more buttery than cheesy. My daughter's chicken caccitori was very salty. Our server, Otis, was nice but a little over the top - every choice we made was "excellent". Overall service was good. Ambiance was also very nice and pricing was okay.

Service by the bartender was amazing. He was working his butt off but still made sitting at the bar enjoyable. I had the chicken alfredo and it was great. Creamy and rich, with fresh pasta. It was a little dark in there but I understood it was part of the scene. Will return when in MB.

This place seems like it was at one time a very well known restaurant that went downhill over the years. I lived in Italy for 3 years and read the reviews before coming so I couldn't wait for some authentic Italian food. Unfortunately, my experience was not all that great. And I felt like I was in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The lemon drop martini I got was bad.. The spinach and artichoke dip was bland came with stale tortilla chips out of the bag. The salad dressing tasted fishy, the croutons were stale the only good thing was the bread. We waited an hour just for appetizers and salad and damn near another hour for our main course. The sad part is we waited so long for food that we just asked to have it packaged to eat back at the hotel. It was horrible.. No flavor the noodles were not cooked the shrimp was undercooked. Talk about disappointing. Save your money you'll get a better authentic Italian from Olive Garden.

Stay away! This is not good food. I went twice. Only to give them another shot. First, everything was so dry! Don't be afraid to use a little sauce, it's an italian restaurant! Second, learn how to make risotto, google it. And please for heavens sakes, who puts pasta, straight out of the water, to a bowl with a scoop of sauce??? I actually had pasta water and dry pasta stuck together in the same bowl. But worse of all.... The sauce! It's so sweet! I couldn't eat it. Save the sugar for your coffee and stay up late to reevaluate. Oh and the 2nd time we went, we left after waiting at the door to be sat for 10 minutes while the server talked about his girl friend fighting with his boyfriend, and no one sat us.
I live around the corner from this restaurant- never ate at the old location, which is also around the corner. Was sooo disappointed. Food was okay, at best. The mussells were awful, and the owner is a arrogant and unaccommodating. I will NEVER go back. If you want good italian, head to Villa Romano, Ciao, even Carrabbas. Anywhere but this place

Terrible. As a local I am embarrassed by this restaurant. The food is poor and the owner is arrogant and unaccomodating. The atmosphere is like a retirement home dining room complete with walkers and lots of white hair. Perhaps that is why the pasta and fish are both mushy. Totally skip this place. If you want Italian try Ciao, Benny Rappas, Romandos, or even Carrabas.

There were 5 of us for dinner Saturday of Labor Day. We waited exactly 1 hour after being seated to get our drinks (the waiter ran away so fast we couldn't even order an appetizer). We then had to ask for bread. Our waiter, Lou, apologized for the slow service because he was busy serving the table of 6 who arrived AFTER us! They had appetizers before we had drinks. By far the worst service I have ever had in an upscale restaurant. That being said, the food, as always, was delicious. This restaurant moved to a bigger location and is obviously feeling growing pains. They better get it together FAST!

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Dined on a Wednesday evening, they were training a number of new waiters, ours amongst them. He was nervous but did a good job. The food was excellent. We had 2 appetizers - escargot and the crab cake both very good. The chicken rolatini entree was excellent the other entree was a special also quite good. Raspberry creme brûlée for desert was a touch over caramelized which was the only item on the evening that I could quibble with. Would definitely return.
